INTUITIVE BIRTH

Certified Birth Doula serving you in Moore County & Surrounding Areas

I believe every woman needs someone on there team, someone to hold space for all their feelings, that is 100% for them and their choices.

You should always be the most powerful person in the room whether it be in a OR, a Hospital, a birthing center, or at home.

You deserve to have all the tools to advocate for yourself, to be empowered, and uniquely cared for in the most intimate times of your life, according to your specific needs.

frequently asked questions

will a doula take attention away from partner?

how many clients do you take on a month?

I currently take on 1-2 clients a month, so as to make sure I am available for your birth, and there is no overlap.

what is your birth philosophy/view?

I believe that 90% of women are able to give birth with little or no medical intervention and that any intervention should be that woman’s choice, assuming there is no legitimate medical need for the intervention.

My job is to help a woman and her partner achieve the birth they want and to support the couple’s wishes and goals. I don’t make decisions for my clients and expect them to give birth in any particular way — I give my clients the information they need to make good birth choices and support their decisions.

One of the doula's goals is to strengthen the partner's role during labor.  A partner may naturally feel worried about the wellbeing of the working person and may feel unsure of how to help.  A doula is trained to guide the partner and teach them techniques to help both physically and emotionally during labor and birth.  Maintaining an intimate and memorable atmosphere for the couple is something doulas value greatly.
